Moraga-Orinda Fire District
The Moraga-Orinda Fire District (MOFD) provides fire protection and emergency medical services to the residents of Town of Moraga. The district encompasses 42 square miles, and includes Moraga, Orinda and the surrounding unincorporated areas, including Canyon and Bollinger Canyon. The District responds to over 3,000 incidents annually from five fire stations.

Ad-Hoc Fire Prevention Committee
In May 2020, Town Council authorized the creation of this committee to work with representatives of the Moraga-Orinda Fire Department (MOFD) and the City of Orinda to receive updates, provide feedback and facilitate coordination of MOFD’s fire prevent efforts.

CalFire Hazard Severity Map This mapping tool shows zones with varying degree of fire hazard (i.e., moderate, high, and very high). It identify areas where wildfire hazards could be more severe, and are meant to help limit wildfire damage. They serve several purposes, and are used to designate where woodland urban interface building codes apply to new buildings.
