The Moraga Park Foundation and Kiwanis Club of Moraga Valley are sponsoring the annual Moraga Pear Harvest on Saturday August 16. Volunteers are needed from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the JM School orchard. Check-in at the corner of Canyon Rd and Camino Pablo.
Harvesting tools, instructions, water and snacks will be provided for volunteers. Sturdy shoes or boots and protective clothing are recommended.
The pears are picked, boxed and sent to the Contra Costa County Food Bank for sharing with hungry families. This is a fun family activity that benefits our local food bank!
