1. How can I submit an application for my band to play at the summer concerts?

The Moraga Park Foundation (a 501c3 non-profit) manages the bands for the summer concerts in the park. Bands may submit an application to them if they wish to perform at the Moraga Summer Concert Series. Applications can be found on the Moraga Park Foundation website and must be submitted by January 1st.

1. How do I reserve a picnic area at the park?

Please download the Park Picnic Area Reservation form for the park that you wish to reserve, complete and sign the reservation form and return to the Parks & Recreation Department via email (preferred), mail, or bring it into the office during regular business hours.

2. I lost something at a park. Do you have a lost and found?

The Parks & Recreation department does keep a lost and found at the Hacienda de las Flores. You can call or email us to check for an item that has gone missing.

3. Can I have a bounce house at the park?

No, due to the high risk of this activity we do not allow bounce house at any parks in Moraga.

4. When does the splash pad operate?

The splash pad water spray feature operates daily June - September from 9 am to 7 pm. During this time the splash pad can be activated by touching the sensor pads on the pad with bare skin, like a foot or hand.

6. Which picnic areas at the parks am I able to reserve?

Both Moraga Commons and Rancho Laguna park have picnic areas available for rent and picnic areas available on a First-Come First-Serve basis. To see which picnic area is which please view the amenities map on that parks webpage, the areas available for reservation are marked by green picnic table icons.

7. Is the picnic area available to reserve on my event date?

8. How do I reserve the bocce courts, volleyball courts, or grass area?

Complete and sign the Hourly Park Area Rental Application then send the completed application the Parks & Recreation department via email (preferred), mail, or by bringing the application to the Parks & Recreation office during regular business hours.

9. When are off-leash dog hours?

10. How can I report broken equipment or other issues at the park?

The Town has launched Mobile Moraga which enables citizens to report non-emergency concerns to the Town, including broken equipment at parks. The FREE app is available for download in the App Store and in Google Play. Citizens can also report concerns through Mobile Moraga in an internet browser.

11. I finished the Lamorinda Trails Challenge, now what?

Congratulations! Complete the log on the back pages of the Trails Challenge book and turn it in to the Recreation Office to receive your commemorative pin. Then, wear that pin with pride and keep up the good work!

12. How do I get a brick plaque at the Commons?

Please visit the Donations & Sponsorships page of the Parks & Recreation Department to download and review the application. Completed applications can be submitted to the Parks and Recreation Department via email (preferred), mail, or in person at the Parks & Recreation office during regular business hours. Payment must be made when application is submitted.

13. How do I donate a memorial bench?

Please visit the Donations & Sponsorships page of the Parks & Recreation Department to review the policy, application, and approved bench locations map. Completed applications can be submitted to the Parks and Recreation Department via email (preferred), mail, or in person at the Parks & Recreation office during regular business hours. Payment must be made when application is submitted.

1. How do I register for camps and classes?

To register for camps, classes, and other activities please visit our online registration portal. Once there, click the "Log In/Create an Account" button to create an account or log-in (if you already have an account), the search for the activity you want to register for. When you find the activity you want to register for, click the check box next to the name of the person you want to register (you may need to add account members if the name does not show up), then click the "Add to Cart" button. From there you can either check out or return to the system to add other activities before checking out.

You can also go to the Recreation office during regular business hours and register in person.

2. What recreation classes and camps do you offer?

We offer programs for all ages and interest levels, the best way to learn of our current classes and camps is to view our Activity Guide online.

3. What is your class or activity withdrawal or refund policy?

All withdrawal/refund requests must be made in writing and can either be mailed or emailed. Refunds requested prior to the first class will be charged a $11.00 processing fee. A full refund will be made only if a class/activity is cancelled by the department.  Refunds require 30 days to process and will be issued in the form of the original payment (if you pay by cash or check you will receive a check refund, if you pay by credit card it will go back to the same credit card).  No refunds will be issued after the first meeting.   All classes and activities are subject to cancellation due to low enrollment.

4. What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Cash, Checks (made out to "Town of Moraga"), and Credit Cards (Visa & MasterCard)
