Do I need a permit to operate a licensed family child care home?

Licensed small family child care homes may care for up 8 children and licensed large family child care homes may care for up to 14 children. Small and large family child care homes are defined in California Health and Safety Code section 1596.78. The Town does not require any licensed family child care home to obtain a zoning permit or business license, in accordance with California Health and Safety Code section 1597.45.
