St. Mary's Road Roundabouts Project Update Meeting

The Project is to develop preliminary engineering plans and construction grant application materials for St. Mary's Road safety improvements at the Rheem Boulevard and Bollinger Canyon Road intersections. Public Works Department will be presenting to the Town Council an information update on the St. Mary's Road Roundabout project. The Town Council meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 7:00 pm in the Town Council Chambers, location at 335 Rheem Blvd. All meeting are open to the public and public comments are welcome. Interested persons may attend or watch it live on Town's website using LIVE STREAM VIDEO.

Previous Roundabouts Project Informational Meeting

Two community informational meeting occurred Thursday, September 27 from 4:30 to 6:00 pm and from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the Orinda Room at the Soda Center at Saint Mary's College. The meeting presentations addressed feedback collected from two public outreach meetings held in 2017 and breakout stations focused on different aspects of the project for attendees to gain more in-depth information about the project.

A community informational meeting occurred on Thursday, July 20, at 6:00 pm at the Town Council Chambers to discuss the proposal to place a roundabout at the intersection of St. Mary's Road and Rheem Boulevard, and a mini-roundabout at the intersection of St. Mary's Road and Bollinger Canyon Road. The discussion included the history of the project, an overview and analysis of the proposed improvements, the benefits of roundabouts, and opportunities for bicycle, pedestrian, and landscaping improvements to the area. Public feedback is sought and encouraged. There was an interactive question and answer period with the project team immediately following the presentation.
