Town Prepares First Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR)

Maze & Associates, the Town’s independent auditor, presented the Town’s first CAFR to the Audit and Finance Committee on December 2. The CAFR is a major improvement to the typical Basic Financial Statements and provides a full and transparent view of the Town’s finances, including trends and historical data. The information in the CAFR will also satisfy the annual Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) disclosure requirements related to the recent $7.72 million Certificates of Participation supported by Measure K. The CAFR will be presented to the Town Council on January 8, 2014. Maze & Associates issued a clean opinion on the Town’s financial statements.
