STREET LIGHTING ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
Town Council adopted a resolution continuing the current assessment for FY2018/19 which includes $58.00 for a typical single family residence within the Street Lighting Assessment District to fund operations and repairs of the Town’s streetlights and traffic signals.
NON-MOSO AND MOSO ACCESSORY BUILDINGS ORDINANCE
Town Council considered an Ordinance recommended by the Planning Commission amending the Non-MOSO (Moraga Open Space Ordinance) and MOSO open space zoning districts to require that detached accessory buildings be built to similar development and design standards as required for Accessory Dwelling Units. After deliberation, the council directed staff to bring back the Ordinance for further consideration later in the year.
PROCLAMATION FOR ELDER ABUSE AWARENESS MONTH
Town Council presented a proclamation to senior services representatives declaring June as Elder and Dependent Adult Abuse Awareness Month, recognizing the importance of preventing abuse of older adults through improved social supports such as senior centers, human services and transportation.
PROCLAMATION FOR ALZHEIMER’S AWARENESS MONTH
Town Council presented a proclamation to the Alzheimer’s Association declaring June as National Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month and June 21 as The Longest Day. The Association is actively working to accelerate the pace of research into the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.
