Town Converts Street Lights to LED

On August 26, 2015, Town Council approved an agreement between the Town and PG&E to upgrade all Town-owned or maintained street lights to Light Emitting Diodes (LED). On Friday, April 29, 2016, PG&E’s contractor began converting 118 street lights throughout Town and should take about a week and a half to complete the project. Residents can expect a noticeable difference in the lighting after the conversion. The new LED street lights will save the Town money in energy and maintenance costs, reduce CO2, and do not contain any lead or mercury.
