Town Clerk, Marty McInturf, Receives Award of Distinction

On April 12, Town Clerk Marty McInturf received an award of distinction from the City Clerks Association of California in recognition of her commitment, expertise, and dedication to the profession. As the leader of a 1.25 person department, Marty has the same duties and reporting responsibilities of any other large city. Yet, in addition to working nights and weekends to keep with up Moraga’s responsibilities, Marty has a second job as the elected City Clerk for the City of Pleasant Hill. The following are some of the attributes Marty was nominated for in both communities: attention to detail of each resolution, staff report and minutes of every Council agenda; ability to patiently listen to and assist in all residents’ concerns whether it falls within her job area or not; her ability to withstand efforts from all sides to bend the rules; acting honorably and ethically to ensure all items that should be on an agenda remain on that agenda; and encourages all those around her to share in her incredible work ethic. It is without question that Marty deserves this recognition from her peers and coworkers for a job continuously well done.
