Town Of Moraga

New Radio Equipment Installed

The Town of Moraga has a licensed radio frequency used by Police and Public Works. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) mandated narrow-banding of all public radio channels effective January 1, 2013. Thanks to the volunteer efforts of Dennis Rein, the Moraga-Orinda Disaster Preparedness Coordinator, and Eric Dausman, a local resident and member of the Town’s local ham radio group, a new radio repeater was purchased and installed at the Alta Mesa site. Eric has begun programming all of the Town’s radios to function properly and in compliance with the new FCC regulations. Thanks Eric and Dennis!
