Town Of Moraga

Livable Moraga Road to Council - Wednesday, June 22, 2016

On Wednesday, June 22, the Town Council will consider approval of the overall corridor concept for the Livable Moraga Road project, which covers Moraga Road from Campolindo High School to the Commons Park. The Town Council previously considered potential options for Segment 3 of the study area between Donald Drive and Corliss Drive, voting 3-2 to support a revised configuration for this half mile segment that would include one southbound lane, two northbound lanes, and a center turn lane, as well as bike lanes, parking, and a separated eight-foot wide path for pedestrians and cyclists. The overall Livable Moraga Road concept, developed through a highly engaged public process over the past three years, proposes improvements along the corridor’s length to improve intersection functionality, improve aesthetics, and provide safe facilities for pedestrians and cyclists, while maintaining traffic flow.
