Town Of Moraga

Ken Tom Honored by Town Council

At the April 24 Town Council meeting, Moraga resident Ken Tom was honored for dedicated service to the Town and was presented with a proclamation declaring April 24, 2013 as “Ken Tom Day.” The proclamation noted Ken’s many years of volunteer service to the Town, especially in the area of Disaster Preparedness. Ken was one of the original members of the Moraga Citizen Corps Council and through that organization started the Lamorinda Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) where Ken served as recruiter, instructor, and liaison to regional and state agencies. Ken has retired from active CERT involvement, but still serves as the Town’s liaison with the American Red Cross.
