FY 2017/18 Budget Preparation Process

At the April 25 Audit and Finance Committee (AFC) meeting, staff provided the committee with an update on the FY 2017/18 budget preparation process. After several consecutive years of cost cutting and deferring needed maintenance and repairs to Town facilities, infrastructure and equipment, staff anticipates that a balanced budget will not be possible without reducing services that directly impact the community. After much discussion, the AFC recommended the Town Council move forward with their adopted goal of examining a potential general fund revenue measure for a future ballot.
