Accessory Dwelling Units Ordinance

The Town Council reviewed an Ordinance revising and updating the Town’s regulations for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), also known as “Secondary Living” or “In-Law” units. The purpose of the Ordinance is to address recent changes in State law intended to streamline and simplify the approval of these units. The Town Council requested additional information from staff regarding specific aspects of the Ordinance, including provisions to limit the number of bedrooms and providing for larger ADUs up to 1,200 square feet through a Conditional Use Permit.
