Town Of Moraga

Honorable Jeanette C. Fritzky, Councilmember

Phil Arth, CouncilmemberJeanette has been a resident of the Town of Moraga for 15 years. She and her husband Bob have raised their children in this wonderful community from elementary school through high school, so they have learned firsthand, the tremendous value of our school system. She has served on the Park and Recreation Commission for two years (Chairperson in 2016) and the Art in Public Spaces Committee for the last year, since its inception.
Jeanette earned her B.S. in Pharmacy from The Ohio State University and her M.B.A. from the A. B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA and has been an invited speaker for the Haas Business School, University of California Berkeley Global Bio-Executive program for three years, as well as an invited guest speaker for several other programs in the Bay Area.
Jeanette spent most of her career in pharmaceuticals - starting as a pharmacist helping patients and families in a local pharmacy and later in a hospital. From there, she went back to school to get her MBA, while she worked full time, managed a household, and raised two children on her own. Her efforts culminated in a successful career in biopharmaceuticals (Sanofi, Roche, Matrix Pharmaceutical, Chiron) where she was responsible for a department of over 200 people with a portfolio worth over $1 billion (today’s value). Her experience in many areas of the business, coupled with her clinical background, brought her to a successful consulting business which she now enjoys. In the pharma industry, she was recognized for her strategic leadership and people management. She learned many skills, the most important of which were listening, applying reason, making decisions and then taking action. Experience also taught her about the richness of intellectual diversity and collaboration, which she hopes to foster in her role as Councilmember.
Jeanette has spent much time on volunteer activities from Girl Scout cookie sales management for Orinda/Moraga, Boy Scout Troop 234 adult committee, roller hockey in Lafayette, soccer, cross country; girls’ lacrosse, boys’ lacrosse and cheer leading at Campolindo High School; Moraga Parks Foundation, the Hacienda Foundation and Parks and Recreation celebrations, and many other activities that bring such fulfillment to our lives and spreads joy to others. She is also Vice President of the Northern California Chapter of US Lacrosse (501(c)3 non-profit), whose mission is to broaden the training, access, and level of play in youth through high school lacrosse.
