Graig Crossley

Graig Crossley has lived in Moraga for over 40 years where he and his wife Sibylla raised their two sons, Roark and Derek. Graig earned an MBA from Golden Gate University and a Teaching Credential from San Francisco State University. He taught government, history and social science at Richmond High School for 18 years, and then served as a high school administrator for 8 years before retiring in 2009. Graig volunteered and served in the Town of Moraga beginning in 1981 as a Park and Recreation Commissioner (1981-82); Town Councilmember (1982-92); Mayor (1987-88 and 1991-92); Contra Costa County Mayors’ Conference Chair (1990-92); Americans with Disabilities Act Committee member (2010-11); Moraga Climate Action Committee Chair (2012-13). He has served, and continues to serve our community as: a member of Kiwanis Club of Moraga Valley (1979-present) and President and Kiwanian of the Year (2013); Scout Master of Troop 246 (1993-99); Hacienda Foundation member and past Chair; Moraga Park Foundation member. He has been an active participant in community events such as Cinco de Mayo, Oktoberfest, Hacienda Art and Wine Festival, the pear harvest, the Rancho Laguna play structure construction and many other Kiwanis and Hacienda work parties to enrich and maintain the quality of life in Moraga. In 2015 Graig was named Moraga Citizen of the Year.
